Strategies in Nanotechnology
Japanese German Symposium

October 30 - 31, 2000
Japanese German Center
Berlin, Germany

First Announcement

Scope

Nanotechnology is a driving force for future economic growth worldwide. Japan and Germany are among the leaders in developing these technologies. In both countries initiatives have been launched to investigate basic aspects and to explore industrial and commercial applications.
At the nanotechnology symposium in Berlin strategic aspects of nanotechnology research and applications  in both countries will be presented in key note talks. There will be ample room for discussions in working groups on specifically important subjects and for a bilateral information exchange on targets and methods.

Participants

Participants will be leaders of research and development in the most important fields of nanotechnology. Participation is on invitation only.

Topics

The symposium will address the following topics:
  • Nanostructures for optoelectronic and
  • Electronic devices
