Advanced Photonic
Systems GmbH (APhS) was founded in 1995. APhS is involved in the development,
manufacturing and sales of lasers and laser based systems mainly targeting the
medical market. Though the focus is in that field, other markets as in metrology,
industry, research and development are being addressed first with modified products
until the medical tests and approvals are successfully finished.
The main area of activities today is the development and manufacturing of compact,
efficient, maintainance-free and reasonably priced lasers based on diode lasers,
diode pumped solid state lasers and fibre lasers. The present productline includes
the picosecond - pulse laser diode system (pulse widths < 10 ps) Pilas, the
electrical ultrafast impulse generators of the EIG series (electrical pulsewidths
< 400 ps), the high power diode laser system DioLas and fast photodetectors.
