SGS Mochem is a
company which has emerged from the Material Sciences Center at Philipps-University
(Marburg). It was founded in 1993 and registered in Weilburg / Germany. Since
May, 24th 1995 the headquarter is situated in Marburg. Three associates with
equal participation hold 100 % share in the company, share capital is DM 51.000.
The object of the company is ”...development, consulting, production and
trading, as well as technical application of chemicals, especially metalorganic
chemicals, and marketing of connected patents...”.
SGS Mochem has started the commercial production of specific chemicals for process
technologies, based on experiences of a (8 year) interdisciplinary research
project (involving chemistry, technology and physics) on alternative precursors
for different deposition techniques. The research project at the Material Science
Center was funded by the BMBF (Federal Ministry of Research and Technology of
Germany) and the Government of Hessen. Up to now the man power, engaged in this
projects and the following developments by Mochem, is exeeding 40 men years.
SGS Mochem holds
the national patent for application of ß-eliminating group-V-compounds
for MOVPE, MOMBE and related deposition techniques. A close cooperation with
the Department of Chemistry and the Material Sciences Center of the Philipps-University
(Marburg) made it possible to equip development and production labs within the
premises of the department of chemistry of the Philipps-University (Marburg).
SGS Mochem uses state-of-the-art analytical equipment and MOVPE growth and film
characterization for batchwise purity control and guaranteed quality.
